1 LG. ONION ( SLICED VERY THIN IN RINGS )
FLOUR FOR DREDGING
MILK
OIL ( FOR DEEP FRYING )
SEPERATE ONIONS & SOAK IN MILK AT ROOM TEMP. FOR 1 HOUR
REMOVE ONIONS FROM MILK AND DREDGE IN FLOUR.
SHAKE OF EXCESS FLOUR AND FRY IN OIL UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN.
Easy Marinated Mushrooms
"Slow-cooked marinated mushrooms are a delicious, easy appetizer,recipe yield:
16 servings.
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups soy sauce
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups white sugar
- 4 (8 ounce) packages fresh mushrooms, stems removed
DIRECTIONS:
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, mix soy sauce, water and butter. Stir until
the butter has melted, then gradually mix in the sugar until it is completely dissolved.
- Place mushrooms in a slow cooker set to low, and cover with the soy sauce mixture.
Cook 8 to 10 hours, stirring approximately every hour. Chill in the refrigerator until serving.
Mushrooms Burgundy

servings.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can beef broth
- 2 (8 ounce) cans whole mushrooms, drained, liquid reserved from one can
- 1/3 cup Burgundy wine
DIRECTIONS:
- In a small saucepan, simmer the onion for 15 minutes in beef broth. Add mushrooms,
reserved liquid, and wine, and simmer another 15 minutes, or until liquid is reduced by half. Serve warm.
